Based in the Ribble Valley, Kiln Dried Logs UK is part of a family-run group that includes Longsight Home & Garden. Their deep local ties mean they understand the needs of Lancashire households and businesses—from rural homes to local pubs, schools, and restaurants.
Unlike suppliers who rush the drying process, Kiln Dried Logs UK uses a meticulous kiln setup:
Logs are loose-stacked with 20–30 cm spacing for optimal airflow
Kilns run at 90–100°C, with vacuum moisture extraction
Long-wire sensors monitor moisture content throughout
Logs are cooled for 2–3 days before packing to prevent condensation
This results in consistently dry, clean-burning hardwood logs that outperform damp or poorly processed alternatives.
They offer flexible delivery times across Lancashire, tailored to customer schedules. Whether you're stocking up for winter or prepping for a garden event, orders are handled with care and speed.
The team prides itself on being approachable and knowledgeable. They offer practical advice on stove performance, log selection, and fire-building techniques—helping customers get the most out of their fuel.
Logs are FSC-certified and Woodsure-approved
Trade pricing available for businesses, schools, and hospitality
Commitment to sourcing only high-quality wood, avoiding low-grade imports

Kiln dried logs are dried in controlled conditions to below 20% moisture, making them cleaner-burning and more efficient than traditionally seasoned logs.
Hardwoods like ash, birch, oak, and beech burn hotter and longer. Softwoods ignite easily but burn faster—better for kindling or mild heat.
According to Defra’s Ready to Burn standard, firewood should have less than 20% moisture. Kiln dried logs often go below 10% for optimal performance.
Yes, as long as they’re covered and ventilated. A log store or shed works well to prevent damp and mould.
Light use: ~1–1.5m³
Moderate use: ~2–3m³

Bulk buying often offers better value.

Hardwoods like ash, oak, and beech burn hotter and longer—ideal for cold UK nights.
Kiln dried logs are best: low moisture, high efficiency, and Ready to Burn certified.
Avoid softwoods for primary heating—they burn fast and produce more creosote.
Light use (2–3 fires/week): ~1–1.5 cubic meters per season.
Moderate use (daily evening fires): ~2–3 cubic meters.
Heavy use (primary heat source): ~4–6 cubic meters.
Keep logs off the ground and covered, but allow airflow.
Use a log store or ventilated shed to prevent damp and mould.
Stack loosely to promote drying and easy access.
Use small kindling and firelighters to start cleanly.
Burn at high temperatures to reduce smoke and residue.
Don’t overload the stove—steady burns are more efficient.
Order early (late summer to autumn) to avoid peak-season price hikes.
Look for bulk deals or seasonal bundles like Winter Warmers or Pizza Oven Packs.
Here at Kiln Dried Logs UK we sell 40L Bags of kiln dried firewood not 30L or 20L. Photos are often deceiving, so please check before you buy. Get the best value for your money.

Lower cost per litre: Larger bags often reduce packaging and handling overheads, meaning you get more firewood for less.
Fewer deliveries needed: More fuel per bag means less frequent ordering, saving on delivery costs and logistics.
Ideal for homes with regular log stove usage, pizza ovens, or chimineas.
Reduces the risk of running out mid-season — especially during colder months.
Stacked smartly for airflow: Kiln Dried Logs UK ensures that larger bags maintain proper drying and breathability.
Eco-friendly packaging: Less plastic or material waste compared to buying multiple smaller bags.
Perfect for high-demand scenarios like pubs with log burners, glamping sites, or frequent entertainers.
One 40L bag takes up less space than two 20L bags stacked separately — making storage more efficient.
Fewer trips, less packaging, and more logs per unit contribute to reduced carbon footprint.
Matches well with Kiln Dried Logs UK's eco-driven ethos — combining clean burn with conscious logistics.
