Why Buy Our Kiln Dried Logs?

Kiln Dried Logs UK is proud to be one of Lancashire’s leading log service providers. As a family-run business rooted in the Ribble Valley, we’re known for our friendly service, fast deliveries, and loyal customer base. We take pride in delivering premium kiln-dried logs across Lancashire, offering flexible delivery times that work around your schedule. Whether you're heating your home or stocking up for your next outdoor gathering, we’re here to ensure every order is handled with care and efficiency.
Kiln Dried Logs UK was set up to run alongside the family Garden Center and Landscaping business. We also welcome any interest from business owners who are interested in purchasing logs at trade prices. We offer competitive prices and can supply schools, local pubs, nursing homes, hotels, restaurants and logs stove companies. We have spent quite a while sourcing our wood products as we know there is a lot of poorer quality products out there. We only want to supply the best kiln dried wood to our customers. Please do come and give us a try. We are a friendly, approachable team who will offer some good sound advice on burning wood for your log stove.

Building a great fire isn’t as simple as it seems — especially when the wood lets you down. Far too often, customers are given damp, low-quality logs that barely burn and leave them questioning their stove’s performance. The truth is, it’s not the stove — it’s the wood. At Kiln Dried Logs UK, we believe all you need is premium fuel and a little know-how to unlock a warm, roaring fire. We’re proud to supply only the finest kiln-dried logs across Lancashire, delivered quickly and at times that suit you. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

About Our Logs

At Kiln Dried Logs UK, we take pride in the precision and care behind every log we deliver. The wood is kiln dry for a minimum of five full days — and up to seven during the cold, damp depths of winter — to ensure each log is dried thoroughly and consistently.

The drying process begins with loose-stacking logs into crates of 1–2 cubic metres, allowing maximum airflow around every piece. Unlike companies that tightly stack logs to fill kilns more quickly, our supply maintains 20–30 cm spacing between crates to ensure heat and air circulate evenly. This careful setup ensures even moisture extraction and prevents cold spots.

Our supply kilns at temperatures between 90–100°C — hot enough to sweat out moisture without baking the outer layers and trapping wetness inside. Throughout the process, moisture is vacuum-extracted at regular intervals, and long-wire sensors embedded into the logs monitor their moisture content. Modern kilns automatically shut off once optimal dryness is reached, but our supply also mans our kilns 24/7 to keep the environment fully controlled.

After drying, logs are left to cool in their crates for 2–3 days before packing. Packing hot logs too early risks condensation, leading to mould — a shortcut we refuse to take.

Not all kiln-dried logs are created equal. Some providers rush their drying process just to use the label. Our supply believes in doing things the right way — because quality matters, and trust is earned. It’s easy to lose a customer with a disappointing fire... but with us, you’ll feel the warmth in every burn.

Why Choose Our Kiln-Dried Wood?

At Kiln Dried Logs UK, we’re more than just a supplier — we thoroughly vet our firewood. That means every log we deliver comes with FSC® and Rainforest Alliance certification, guaranteeing that our wood is sourced from responsibly managed forests. Sustainability is deeply embedded in our process, from replanting initiatives to the protection of local wildlife habitats.

For example, dead trees are left standing to provide shelter for woodpeckers, while healthy seed-dropping trees remain untouched to support birds, animals, and future forest growth. Our supply believes, as true woodsmen do, that if you care for the forest, the forest will care for generations to come.

Our hardwood is sourced from Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, countries whose lifeblood is timber — harvested with deep respect and ecological responsibility.

How Our Logs Outperform Locally Produced Firewood

Many locally available firewood options are either fresh or loosely “seasoned”, which can still mean moisture levels up to 60%. Wood at this level:

  • Is difficult to ignite

  • Burns poorly and inefficiently

  • Produces excess smoke and pollution

  • Increases the risk of soot buildup, flue damage, and chimney fires

To season firewood properly down to 20% moisture can take up to three years in dry storage. That’s why we take no shortcuts: every log we sell is kiln-dried to below 20% moisture, making it clean-burning, safer, and ready to use.

Only kiln-dried hardwood guarantees:

  • Easier lighting

  • Stronger, longer-lasting heat

  • Cleaner burn with reduced smoke

  • Extended stove life and fewer repairs
